Words cannot describe that!

There is a tribe in Africa where the birth date of a child is counted not from when they were born, nor from when they are conceived but from the day that the child was a thought in its mother’s mind. And when a woman decides that she will have a child, she goes off and sits under a tree, by herself, and she listens until she can hear the song of the child that wants to come. And after she’s heard the song of this child, she comes back to the man who will be the child’s father, and teaches it to him. And then, when they make love to physically conceive the child, some of that time they sing the song of the child, as a way to invite it.

And then, when the mother is pregnant, the mother teaches that child’s song to the midwives and the old women of the village, so that when the child is born, the old women and the people around her sing the child’s song to welcome it. And then, as the child grows up, the other villagers are taught the child’s song. If the child falls, or hurts its knee, someone picks it up and sings its song to it. Or perhaps the child does something wonderful, or goes through the rites of puberty, then as a way of honoring this person, the people of the village sing his or her song.

In the African tribe there is one other occasion upon which the villagers sing to the child. If at any time during his or her life, the person commits a crime or aberrant social act, the individual is called to the center of the village and the people in the community form a circle around them. Then they sing their song to them.

The tribe recognizes that the correction for antisocial behavior is not punishment; it is love and the remembrance of identity. When you recognize your own song, you have no desire or need to do anything that would hurt another.

And it goes this way through their life. In marriage, the songs are sung, together. And finally, when this child is lying in bed, ready to die, all the villagers know his or her song, and they sing—for the last time—the song to that person.

You may not have grown up in an African tribe that sings your song to you at crucial life transitions, but life is always reminding you when you are in tune with yourself and when you are not. When you feel good, what you are doing matches your song, and when you feel awful, it doesn’t. In the end, we shall all recognize our song and sing it well. You may feel a little warbly at the moment, but so have all the great singers. Just keep singing and you’ll find your way home.

Transform your life in simple steps

And a little something for you, as I am new to this coaching world, I think it's easy and helpful just for the beginning of your transformation.

Taking responsibility is the first step to freedom. Once you accept total responsibility, you'll be adding excitement to your lifestyle.

Fear is a crippling state that prevents most people from being, and doing the things to create excitement in their lives. Learn how to manage your fear step by step.

You are what you believe, and the secret beliefs you have inside you, will determine just how far you go in life.

Once you determine your beliefs, you will start to discover how you really see yourself. Use this to transform your lifestyle and be, do or have what you want.

Habits control your destiny. They either support you or hold you back. Create rituals that work for you and get rid of old and ‘not exactly yours’ habits. Keep only those that make YOU feel comfortable even if others around you are a little bothered.

Imagine your possibilities, learn to absorb your children’s imagination and not be the ‘adult’ everyone wants you to be. Listen to your children, they are pure and free of ‘everyday problems’ and they see the world with ‘fairy tale’ eyes.

Action is the fuel to making all your goals a reality. Without action, you will endure frustration. DO IT NOW! TAKE ACTION AND…. GO!

Best Uses of Baking Soda / Χρήσιμη η σόδα Φαγητού

Deodorant underarms
Mix four tablespoons of baking soda with about ten drops of your favorite essential oil and apply to underarms with a brush. To reapply throughout the day, just fill an empty mineral makeup container with it and use a stubby Kabuki brush for a no-mess application on the go.

You can mix baking soda with your favorite shampoo to get a great substance for cleaning your hair from the residue that styling products leave behind. Mix one table spoon of soda and one table spoon of your favorite shampoo and wash your hair with this mix. After rinsing thoroughly, you will notice how your hair will become squeaky clean and more manageable. It’s not an everyday shampoo though. It’s great to wash your hair this way once or twice a month. (You can also wash your hair using just baking soda with water, the result will be similar).

Make your teeth whiter with the use of baking soda. There are two ways to do it. You can simply apply baking soda on your toothbrush and brush your teeth with it as usual, but I prefer a slightly different variation: put your favourite toothpaste on your brush and then, put baking soda on top of it (it will stick to the toothpaste) and brush your teeth with this mix. (Don’t be harsh, brush gently in circular motions for about 2 minutes). This is not for an everyday use. You can brush your teeth this way for 2 or 3 days to make them whiter and then, switch to your usual way of brushing. Also, keep in mind that it’s not advised to use this method, if you have sensitive teeth.
